Visions from a Perfected City
This year I enjoyed working alongside an active team to put together the very successful Habor Art Show: Visions from a Perfected City. We had over 30 entries from more than 20 artists and the event itself was packed all evening. I can’t wait for the next one.

Scott Chandler and family wins surf dog competition
Dog lovers of all sizes turned out for Lowe’s fourth annual surf dog competition in Imperial Beach, San Diego. There were three categories: small dogs, large dogs, and tandem dog and humans surfing together. It really was a great event to shoot. Scott Chandler along with daughter, step daughter, and Zoey the surf dog, took first place in the tandem category and really made the event worth watching.
Surfing Family
Scott Chandler is a surfer, but he decided that surfing was more fun if he could share it with his family. He not only got his ten year old daughter Tyler Chandler to surf tandem with him, he also taught the family dog, Zoey. Last year they won the surf dog competition in Coronado. And now they are training Baby, the chihuahua, as well. These guys were so much fun to shoot.

The Veritas Forum at Caltech
I had the priviledge of photographing The Veritas Forum at Caltech University in Pasadena. Francis Collins was the speaker and he addressed the packed auditorium of at least 1200 people on the language of God. It was a very interesting conference and even though it was raining I managed to get some amazing shots. Caltech has a very beautiful campus.
Hacienda Imaculada
I love spending time with the kids at Hacienda Imaculada in Tijuana. I learn so much from their generous hearts and courageous spirits.

Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings, visits High Tech High during her recent visit to San Diego.
During her recent visit to San Diego, US Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings, attended a round table discussion on technology in education hosted by Paul Jacobs and Qualcomm.
To conclude her visit to San Diego, US Secretary of Education, Margaret Spellings, attended the Biotechnology Institute where she greeted teacher award recipients and gave an addressed.
